We wanted to visit Kuya Junior but he was down with flu, and so was Ate Linda and Ryan. Baka daw mahawa kami kasi masama ang ubo nila.
I suggested that we go to Benicia instead. I wanted to eat ahi tuna salad and buy some antiques.
It was a foggy day and really chilly. My clothes were heavy, 7 layers in all.
It wasn’t pleasant to walk because the temperature could freeze toes, nose and fingers.
I was tempted to go inside the Shorelight Inn to warm my toes. I peeked inside. The owners were busy cleaning the ground floor baka maistorbo.
I went inside an antique books dealer. Amoy na amoy luma yung tindahan nila. Wala naman akong nabili kasi para talagang luma. Feeling ko may libreng multo yung mga libro.
I see people walk their dogs. I don’t know if dogs are able to manage with this kind of temperature drop. Baka manginig din sa ginaw.
After I took a photo of this wooden dog sign, the owner of the gallery came out and said “you like my dog”.
Normally we avoid walking under the sun because it’s hot. This time, we preferred to walk where the sun was because it was maybe two degrees warmer.
The inside looks like a farmhouse, barn or kamalig that hasn’t been used for ages.
I thought she owns the building. She’s renting lang daw. It used to be a farm cottage according to her. The owners have long abandoned it. She’s renting from the previous owners.
I bought a set of dessert plates, 70% off. Can you believe that?
I sent to a few more antique shops but didn’t find anything.
Reproductions are not expected to appreciate in value but they are nice addition to blank walls as long as they’re not expensive.
I didn’t buy anything from this lovely store but I gained some ideas on how to group together unused pitchers.
I miss the quaint town in Benecia, it’s very different from AZ 🙂 I have family there and in Vallejo. I just do not like the hills, hirap maglakad.
