Best Airport in Middle East - Oh My Buhay

Best Airport in the Middle East

The man-made sand islands with castles and mansions that could be seen from the plane just before we landed were astonishing. They have their own coves, ship docks. I wish I had an SLR for a much clearer pictures.

So this is how rich they are.

Qatar from above

We’ve landed at Hamad International Airport. I have always thought that Dubai was the best airport. Hindi pala, HIA holds the distinction of being the Best Airport in the Middle East.

We reached Doha relaxed and satisfied with our Qatar Airways experience.    We were met with a representative from the airlines who accompanied us to a new and classy lounge while we waited for our transit visas.  We were impressed.   There’s an immigration officer assigned  inside the lounge area exclusively for premium  passengers.   We felt especial.

There’s a small buffet for snacks while we waited for our names to be called.

I was still too full from the inflight meals. I tasted a small bowl of tuna salad.

There were no other passengers except the four of us, Oyen, Nyke, Nadine Chua, and I.

Their newspapers were all printed in special white and glossy paper.

We had no baggage to claim because we checked them thru to our final destination, Budapest. We only had our hand-carry.

Another lounge while we waited for our passports and visas and while waiting for hotel shuttle. We didn’t go up to the second floor anymore to get food and drinks. We stayed for an hour here because they were looking for Edmund. The hotel voucher I brought with me only stated “sharing”. Naturally they would look for my ka-share.
They had to issue a new hotel voucher which took another half hour.

Edmund had to cancel his trip because Ford EDSA building is still undergoing finishing touches. Although the showroom is now open, the service area is still being painted and employees offices furnished.

The shuttle that would take us to our hotel smelled so good and very new.
