The shops in Beverly Hills close at 8 pm. Some as early as 6 pm. That’s why when we arrived in Los Angeles, it was gloomy and the streets were deserted. It was like “where’s everybody? why are they not shopping?”
I was the one who booked a room at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. I wanted to be near Rodeo Drive and I found this hotel located right in the center so I chose this. Although I told Oyen and E where I booked back in October, they didn’t pay attention because they were busy. When we entered the driveway of the hotel, we found a Rolls Royce, a Bentley, a Mercedes Benz, two Range Rovers, on the driveway and a dozen valet guys.
Edmund said how come I didn’t tell him we were staying here, sana inayos daw nya mga gamit namin. Dami kasi naming dalang tampipi. Kakahiya daw.
The hotel has several Christmas trees.
When I was checking in, I found out they reserved a room on the second floor with two double beds. A double bed for two people is not as comfortable as a queen. I requested to be moved to a bigger room. I mentioned about my email reminding them about my room preference. After he saw my message he obliged to give us another room, 615.
Tip here, tip there. Oyen said “ubos na pera ko we haven’t even reached our room”. Ha ha ha.
Aside from bringing our luggage, the bell boy brought us one complimentary crate of bottled water.
Room 615 has one large bathroom with marble floors.
There’s also a dresser in the bathroom.
Four Seasons has to live up to its name. Syempre the toiletries must be topnotch also.
The living room sofa is actually a queen sleeper bed. Every afternoon, the girl comes to set-up the bed.
Ewan, napagod ako ka-e-AirBnb in Vegas. Plus this is a Christmas vacation for me and my family. And this is the first time all of us are traveling together after a year. Staying in a nice and comfortable hotel contributes to a relaxing holiday.
Every night, the hotel offers complimentary chestnuts.
