It’s becoming more frequent lately that friends introduce me as “meron syang blog”. Minsan they would say “blogger sya”. That would of course start a barrage of questions. “What’s your blog? What is it all about? You have plenty of time? Are you a writer? etc”.
I grapple for words when people ask me what my blog is all about. I also do not consider myself a blogger. I actually feel some kind of embarrassment kasi nga title pa lang overly dramatic na. Then the contents are kung anu-ano lang.
Friends who happen to follow OMB answer the questions for me. They say it’s about my travels, food, places, cars, everything that I do. Some just smile or laugh.
When I am too tired to think of words I just say my blog is full of my crap. Which is really true.
I myself can’t accurately describe Oh my buhay in a few words. It started as my diary, just for my own record of what I did, where I went, what I ate, whom I met, my views and thoughts about life, tsismis, etc. It also camouflages that I am a lunatic. Hindi halata na kinakausap ko ang aking sarili.
In the end, we are all stories and you tell yours so very well. You’re introspective and reflective – which could be mistaken for lunacy, I suppose. All artists and writers have some madness in them – which is precisely what sets them apart, probably because they feel and experience things so deeply. The great thing is that you: have found your medium; have the boldness to express all that you see; and, the gift to write it. I for one am very glad to read your stories. (And I’m not alone with your over 7m views!)
