December 1, 2017
Yen collected her complimentary spa treatment coupons from the lobby because it was past 9 pm and the hotel’s office was already closed. She told me we have to claim them because they are expiring this December.
I have a feeling that EDSA Shangrila Hotel Manila hired Rustan’s to do their lobby Christmas decorations.
We then crossed the pool side to get to the annex building where Chi is located.
There are souvenir items that are for sale.
I filled out a pre-treatment questionnaire but I wasn’t sure if the therapist read it because she still asked me which parts I wanted her to avoid.
The first time Yen and I came here was maybe 5 years ago. Chopard invited about 10 of their clients for an afternoon tea and a spa treat. I brought Oyen along. This is only my second time. I don’t think I would come here on a regular basis kasi mahal. I also do not like the idea that I have to look decent because I will be passing through the hotel lobby before and after the massage. Eh after the massage mukha na akong malagkit na bruha.
The treatment area is big, as well as the shower area, toilet, powder room, lobby, lounge, and the big massage room with two beds.
We didn’t touch / drink the cucumber water
I’d rather spend the night here sleeping.
Yen had a 10 minute steam bath
They gave me a black thingy. I couldn’t figure out what it was for.
Mukhang medyas (socks) pero bakit iisa lang? Hinahanap ko yung isang kapares na medyas pero wala. Baka naman kako pangtakip ng mata pag nakahiga.
Hinila ko ng hinila, binaligtad ko ilang beses. I discovered it has two holes. At saka ko lang naisip baka ito ay disposable panty.
I fell asleep during the massage. I had a hard time standing up. Para bang gusto ko na dun matulog ng magdamag.
The 90 minute massage was ordinary. But the best thing was that Yen and I were forced to stop our busy lives and just succumb to a relaxation. Thank you anak for the treat.
Yen almost tripped on a lost snail. She picked it up and placed it on the grass.
When you are in between the buildings, you won’t feel you are in the busy metropolis.
We lingered for a few minutes at the swimming pool area of the hotel.
There were no hotel guests here. Maybe because it was almost midnight.
We stayed for a while at the lobby, deciding whether we would head home or hang out in the cafe.
We decided to stay. Yen ordered spicy calamares. The hotel lobby cafe doesn’t serve pica-pica like potato chips.
We went home at 12 midnight. We continued our snacking and chatting at home. I went to bed at 1:30 am.
