Decades ago, we annually published a trade directory called Buyer’s Guide to Philippine Manufacturers and Exporters and Narda’s was one of our regular advertisers. It was Roger who handled her account.
Every time I see Narda’s logo, I am instantly reminded of the past.
They used to have a store in the lobby of The Manor Hotel.
This must be their headquarters.
I was excited to go inside.
There was nothing that interested me except for a small blouse but they only had a size S.
I tried it on, kasya naman but medyo maikli. They used turmeric to dye the fabric yellow.
The sales ladies were showing me styles that I wouldn’t wear.
They found a size Large in a different color. I hesitated but I bought it anyway. I liked the fabric and it was comfy.
I am spending winter in the US, now I regret not buying one of these knitted bonnets at Narda’s.
