It was raining when we left the hotel at 7:30 am to go to our first meeting for the day, breakfast with Republican US Political Expert, Barry Steven Jackson, at the Exxon Mobil Room, on the second floor of CSIS Building.
Ten minutes to walk, twenty minutes to ride due to one way streets and some slow traffic.
CSIS has an impressive new building.
Barry has 10 yeas of experience in Capitol Hill and 8 years in the White House. He was the former chief of staff of US House Speaker John Boehner. He also served as Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush.
The discussion centered on China’s creeping annexation of islands closest to the Philippines, the White House’s commitment to provide economic, humanitarian, military support to the Philippines, coming elections, Hillary Clinton, etc.
We had a group picture using Rp’s camera.
We were served American breakfast.
I ate the pineapple slices, berries, grapes, and two slices of melon.
I ate the bacon and scrambled egg.
About half hour after our breakfast, I felt discomfort in my stomach, parang sa sikmura. I thought it’s just gas pain, which I expected to go away within minutes. It did not.
