Bus tour to Yosemite - Oh My Buhay

Bus tour to Yosemite

I wanted to do something different and see more places not just shopping and eating. I initially intended to go to Seattle but just settled for short trips. I found a weekend bus tour to Yosemite and Hearst Castle. Perfect. When Aileen found out, sasama rin daw sya and she brought Kimberly along.

Pick-up was at 8:50 but we were already at the Newark parking by 8:30 am. A Ford E150 van picked-us up and brought us to Milpitas where we joined the rest of the tour group. I did not count how many we were but we filled a big tourist bus.

We waited at the Milpitas’ branch of Ranch Supermarket for about half hour. We used it to “may I go out” and Aileen bought some emergency food.

There’s a newstand outside the supermarket and I took a free copy of Filipino newspaper.

(See? Edmund’s right, let’s refrain from patronizing made in China products while we still have a conflict with them}.

Okay folks, the bus is here. Oooops! napigtas ang tsinelas ko, patay! We haven’t started the tour yet and my sandals broke already. I bought this sandals (Made in Malaysia) from Kuala Lumpur when MAA Insurance sponsored our trip 3 years ago. I brought along my bilas Ellen Yee (+).

Aileen saved the day. She brought an extra pair of flip-flops supposedly for her. Ay tenk u.

First stop was for lunch at Panda Express. KKB. We paid $514 to Lassen tours for the two -day tour for the 3 of us. Meals and $6 tip per person per day are not included.

We were given 40 minutes lunch break but waiting in line alone at Panda Express took away 30 minutes already.

The bus ride took a total of 4 hours. I did not mind it because I was asleep most of the time.
