(Aug 20, Iloilo)
We were back at Days Inn by 7 pm. We rested for a while then went out again for dinner.

Instead of having pancit molo for dinner, we went to Buto‘s Balat Restaurant recommended by the front desk. Marvin, Julienne and I wanted to go back to Breakthrough but it’s a little bit far so we inquired from the front desk where we could eat Ilonggo dishes.
Among the names she mentioned, we chose Buto‘s Balat due to it’s proximity and location.  It’s located at the new gimmick area Diversion Road in Mandurriao.

We no longer have a service vehicle because the driver said the maximum use is only 10 hours which we consumed already. So we just took a cab from Days Hotel to Buto‘t Balat. Taking cabs in Iloilo is safer than in Metro Manila.

The place was full  but we were able to get a table as soon as we arrived.

They had ran out of talaba (oysters) to our disappointment.

The service was very slow.  Our food came after an hour.

Despite the slow service,  we had a good time and the food was all good.

See this? sobrang takaw namin. Buto’s Balat’s bagoong rice is so good, it’s a meal in itself.

From Buto’s Balat, we walked some 50 meters to the main street and hailed a cab back to Days Inn.
Edmund speaks fluent Ilonggo so it was easy giving the cab driver directions.
