At the Coach store, I overheard two elderly Filipinas standing right beside me conversing about their shopping. Things to buy to send to the Philippines, the hand bags they were holding, etc.
Based on the way they speak Tagalog and English, I could tell that they’ve been living in the states for a long time. Mabilis tayong matuto ng wikang banyaga. Medyo slang na sila ng konti.

Old woman #2—– “What color you get?”
Old woman #1 —- “Sige, buy the bag you buy”.
