There was a notice that at 2 am, the clock would be turned back by an hour. Day light saving time!

My simple mind got confused and worried. Our train ticket to France indicated a departure of 1:30 pm. Edmund called the front desk to verify. Oo daw.

The bell boy who helped us bring down our luggage was a Filipino named Allan. Just like Hannah Stettler, he was one of the pioneers here at the Intercontinental Westminster.  We also made bilin our balikbayan box that would be picked up the next day.  He would be on duty daw.  Perfect.

We took a cab to St. Pancras train station. It’s beside the King’s Cross Station, where we took the train to Leuchars.

We were an hour early. I used-up my remaining coins by buying Hello, Okay, Time magazines, and coke for my better half.

I spent the next few minutes flipping thru the pages of Hello and OK magazines.
Their main feature was the baptism of Prince George.

Prince George is just so cute.

He’s so adorable. Ka-guwapong bata.

We’re boarding

We have lighter luggage this time.  My gray luggage was inside this black one.  We’re shipping most of our dirty clothes, jackets, sweaters, and souvenirs to Manila. Allan took care of our cargo.

This was a big relief for my husband,  kasi pagod sya talaga pagbuhat ng mga maleta namin.  I was of no help because I could only lift my white carry on.  He’s my Popeye, I am Olive Oil.    I could not even open a bottle of water.  Lantutay!

We’re taking the 3 hour speed train Eurostar to France.

My daughter was the one who bought our tickets on line. She also chose our seats.

Until the last minute, there was no one coming to seat across us. When the train started to move, someone transferred to our coach and sat across us. Yung tuhod nya, umaabot na sa akin kasi malaking lalaki. He’s from Egypt daw.

Edmund said, next time, we would just choose seats na  lagi kaming magkaharap just like our seats to and from Leuchars.

Nakakailang na merong kaharap na stranger.

Okay na lang kalapit, wag lang ka facetime.
