October 26, 2013 Saturday
Bye window. Thank you for the 7 wonderful mornings. It was so nice waking-up with this incredible view.
Bye bed. Thank you for giving me 7 relaxing nights.
Bye hotel. Thank you for making us feel at home.
I’m leaving with Andrew
We took a cab to the train station. Our female driver was kaskasera.
Leauchars station was only 10 minutes away.
Our luggage were already full before we left Manila because of thick sweaters and jackets. There’s no more space for other stuff. I bought some souvenirs that’s why we now have an improvised box.
This place looked scary when we arrived here in the middle of the night on October 19.
Our bags became heavier. Edmund got so tired dragging them up the inclined ramp.
Unlike last week, the Leuchars station now breathes life.
We were at least 40 minutes early but I preferred to stand while waiting for the train. it would be 7.5 hours ride, I would have lots of time to sit-down.
The train arrived on the dot.
I asked for hot cholocate, the cup came in a paper bag.
When I saw that it was colored reddish-brown, I dropped my hopes that this would be a good hot chocolate.
We were served the same exact sandwiches, cookies, chips, and drinks.
First hour– Okay, that’s good.
2nd hour—- Okay
3rd hour—- Do you have something else?
4th hour—- No thanks.
5th hour—- No.
6th hour—- Ignore.
7th hour—- Ignore.
There was a Filipina attendant on the train. There’s no mistaking– with her looks and her accent. However, she avoided even glancing at Edmund and I. She walked back and forth our coach and served food to the others but she obviously avoided us. I smiled at her but she pretended not seeing me. Why kaya?
Edmund said she was probably ashamed of her job.
to be continued.
