June 11, 2019, Tuesday

Despite our room not having air conditioning, the temperature dropped in the evening so we had a good night sleep, plus we were tired the day before from sitting in the car the whole day from Las Vegas.

There’s a road behind the hotel so it’s not as quiet as I would like it to be. I turned off the ceiling fan because I couldn’t sleep, the air was blowing on my face and I felt like drowning. I also have a fear of ceiling fans, this kind, because when I was in college at the University of Santo Tomas, our classroom had a ceiling fan that sounded, looked, and rotated as if it was about to fall off the ceiling. I was so scared every time the fan was swaying with krek krek krek sounds

After breakfast, we drove to the nearby Carmel to survey the parking conditions, the shuttle to the US Open, and other logistics.

The designated parking areas are half-hour away and we don’t want to go there. There are shuttle buses in Carmel so that’s we’ve decided to take. Edmund paid for two tickets for June 13, 2019 at a cost of $50. he figured he would leave very early in the morning to have a better chance of grabbing free parking either along the street or in the public parking area.
US Open shuttles

We watched the US Open in 2010 and we’ve taken these shuttle buses before.

The lovely Carmel mall. Once upon a time I dreamt of building something like this in Tagaytay. I shelved the plan because I didn’t have a big enough commercial land. Maybe 10 years from now, who knows? Never give up your dreams. Just keep on dreaming. Don’t let your dream stop, continue sleeping.

This is me in my official dress while I still can’t move my right arm without any pain. Ang hirap magbihis at maghubad, namimilipit ako sa sakit. Hayyy!
