Carneros Resort and Spa - Oh My Buhay

Carneros Resort and Spa

On July 31, 2019, after we checked out the Estate at Yountville, we headed to Carneros Resort and Spa, another potential wedding venue on Oyen’s list.

The 28-acre resort is situated in Carneros, AVA (American Viticultural Area) which includes parts of both Sonoma and Napa counties where Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sparkling wines are mainly produced.

The lobby is chic and modern.

The smoky double glass door on the left side leads to the events hall.

We also inspect the lavatories anywhere we go to see if they are at least decent.

A five minute golf cart ride from the lobby is a garden used for wedding ceremonies. It has a nice backdrop— view of the hills.

This is a nice spot for an outdoors ceremony.

The reception rooms are located behind this lanai. There are two rooms, one looks like a regular hotel functiion room for maybe 50 people, a bigger one that’s adjacent to the lobby is bigger, maybe it can fit 150 guests but no more space for program or dancing.

This whole complex is private and looks luxurious. The individual cottages with outdoor showers look fun for honeymooners but for our wedding guests to pay $1,000 a night of stay would be a very large imposition.
A drone is not allowed because of the alfresco showers, our 150-180 guests don’t fit in the reception area, $1,000 a night, all these make Carneros not a good fit for our purpose.
