Our group tour ends tonight and I have no idea where we are going next. I don’t remember checking the leaflet or not even sure if there is some specific information there. All I know is that we are going out to dinner and tonight’s experience would be a notch higher than the previous dinners.
Mon Dimacali goes all out when it’s the last night. When we were in Manhattan he brought us to Smith and Wollensky and he ordered lobster tails, giant prawns, two inches thick rib eye steaks and the biggest lumps of crabs I have ever seen. Oh I miss that (the crab).
So tonight is our last night of dining together. We gathered at the hotel lobby. Paul Chuatico keeps our group always looking forward to his daily ensembles. For our farewell dinner, he didn’t disappoint us. He showed up looking like Louis Vuitton’s official fashion ambassador.
Not sure if we are walking to the restaurant or riding.
Oyen rides with Cynthia’s daughter Iya, while we hailed a Mercedes Benz that have seen better days. It’s lokbuloks na.
The place is on top of a hill. The ride is paliko-liko and matarik. It’s quite a climb to reach this spot.
Castelo De s. Jorge, dito pala kami kakain? We still don’t have a clue where we are actually going.
I am not trying to be funny but I really thought at first that Castelo de S. Jorge
is the name of the restaurant or the chef or some person who owns this place. Kasi di ba meron sa atin si Anthony Castelo yung singer? Castelo pala is Portuguese for castle.
As soon as we entered the gate, we were all surprised at how stunning the place was. Had I known beforehand that we would be walking on uneven surfaces, I would have worn rubber shoes or sneakers.
I was wearing a pair of sandals not suitable for walking on sharp cobbled stones.
In the late 14th century, King John 1 dedicated the fortified citadel to Saint Jorge, also known as the warrior saint.
We are racing against the sunset. Pagdumilim na mahirap mag-selfie.
This view makes me change my mind about Portugal. I don’t mind coming back maybe in a few years.
The sweeping view from this Moorish castle gives tourists a better appreciation of the historical city of Lisbon. If you are traveling to Lisbon, this is a must see.
The combination of amber, yellow and orange hues that’s beginning to mix with the blue, gray and indigo sky make the view even more stunning.
The amber hue gives our skin a nice glow.
The pre-war fortress is perfect for our pre-nup photos
This place makes me want to get married again and have our reception here.
