I had late lunch at Celadon Restaurant located in the same complex, the historic Napa Mill that’s adjacent to the Napa River Inn.
The minute I entered their restaurant I told myself, ooohhh I like this place.

The restaurant is in a converted mill. The high ceiling makes the room feel bigger and spacious.

The brick fireplace serves as the centerpiece and it exudes a homey feel without taking away the elegant ambiance of the restaurant.

The earthy-green sage color motif blended with bricks and natural wood sets off a relaxing atmosphere.  Sage is the color of the year 2018 and represents peace and ecological abundance.

I had no intention to have a full meal.  I just wanted to have an appetizer and a salad.

View of the plants outside from my spot and surprisingly my hotel room was right there.  That one.  I knew because I opened the blinds to let natural light in.

I felt so good sitting right beside the fireplace.  The curling and swaying of the gentle fire gave me warmth.  I couldn’t explain it but for a few seconds,  I felt a sudden whiff of melancholy.

I tried my best to enjoy the food.

I have yet to find the perfect crab cake.  Even when I was dining in an iconic restaurant in D.C. which claimed to have the best crab cake,  I wasn’t wowed by it.  After a few bites,  nakakasawa.   Celadon’s crab cake was okay but it was not what I was hoping to taste like.

Oh My Buhay having a little rest and relaxation in Napa Valley.
