Residents, including yours truly, in our subdivision are up in arms against the almost done deal contracts entered by the homeowners officers of nearby village with Globe and Smart to put up cell antennas thirty (30) meters high, to be located, one in front of the house of Mrs. Mina Tecson and very near the house of Richard Yee, and another one would rise in the park, near the clubhouse.
Mrs. Tecson told me that the lawyer of one of the residents living close to the proposed tower site sent a letter of complaint to the board of directors but it was ignored. Dapat diretso na lang sa korte.
The manner or process the negotiations was done was being questioned by most of the homeowners. We didn’t receive advance notices until the other day when they have already received P25,000,000 check from Globe and P25,000,000 from Smart.
In the spirit of transparency, decency, respect and good governance, all homeowners and residents must have been informed beforehand.
We all recognize that the use of internet is already part of this life, but why add risk to our health and welfare, as if the air pollution from EDSA is not enough, we want to add 24/7 radiation in our midst. Maganda kayang merong giant towers’ ugly structure smack right in the middle of our community? Pagnag earthquake, naku it would sway left and right, baka kung saan pa yun tumilapon.
We all have wifi na in our homes. Dropped calls daw, slow connection. So that anywhere you are daw in the village there would be wifi. kahit nagja-jogging. Dyos ko, magpe-facebook ka ba habang nagja-jogging? Sobrang addict ka na nyan. Aba, matutuwa ang mga drivers, maids, bodyguards, security guards. Kahit nasa kalye naka wifi na sila. Baka hindi ko na makausap mga maids sa bahay. Ngayon nga lang lagi silang naka-Ipad.
Sa susunod nyan, bago pumasok ang lavandera, tatanungin “ilan kayo dito? may washing machine ba? May wifi ba kayo?”
I have a feeling nothing will happen with our protests. My colleagues are so nice they don’t want to antagonize those who are in favor of the cell site. Pagganyan wala tayong maa-achieve.
