Our default food when in California is cheeseburger and fries from In & Out.
It helps that they close at 1:30 am so we do not worry about not making it on time. Most of the restaurants close at 9 or 10 pm. When we get so engrossed criss-crossing freeways, we forget about the time and we always go to our default food.
Edmund doesn’t know that he’s actually picky when it comes to food.
He likes to say bahala na akong pumili where to eat. But when I pick a restaurant he doesn’t like, he would say “ayaw ko dun”.
A—–“Anong gusto mo?”
E—–“O, ako pa ang tatanungin mo, bahala ka na tart, kahit ano”.
A—–“Ikaw na lang ang pumili kasi ako matakaw kahit saan okay sa akin”.
E—–“Ikaw na, kung saan mo gusto, kahit saan”.
A—–“Mcdo”.
E—–“Ayaw ko don”.
But when I say In & Out, there’s a 98% chance he would say “sige”.
He and I are actually opposites in many ways. We just get along because of the word compromise.
