I could see the number of people and cars growing here. It took me an hour at least to find a parking spot. I was only able to get one when I spotted a Filipina holding a car key. I rolled down my window and yelled… are you leaving? She looked at me and pointed at the direction of her car. She parked so far away from the entrance door. She was my best bet so I followed her while she walked to her car.
It took me another hour and a half to reach our meeting place. The road was uphill, with rain draining on my face and jacket, I was literally parang basang sisiw when I reached my destination. Ay hindi pala basang sisiw, basang inahin.
Rain was pouring and I was an hour late. Madeline had been waiting for a little over an hour.
We both haven’t had lunch but we’re in quandary as to whether to eat lunch (merienda na) or not. Alanganin because we have a 7 pm dinner.
We were hungry so we decided to eat at the nearest restaurant which happened to be The Cheesecake Factory . We swore to ourselves that we will only eat LIGHT.
And light it was:

Light it was, until…. we let go of our control and succumb to sweet temptation.
Cheesecake meringue
What’s the use of eating at The Cheesecake Factory if we’re not going to eat cheesecake?
