Clarion Hotel The Edge - Oh My Buhay

Clarion Hotel The Edge

If you are planning a trip to Tromso, there are many hotels around the city that are within walking distance to the commercial area and water. Tromso is a small island so to go to one street to another is walking distance. Of course the biting cold is not conducive to walking long distances.

Our residence for three nights is the Clarion Hotel The Edge, one of the best hotels to stay in Tromso. It occupies the top spot just a tad above Radisson Blue Hotel based on ratings by travelers.

The front desk did not look for our passport or IDs. People here like to say “I trust you”. I think Norway is built on trust.

Dry cold air makes me thirsty. I almost grabbed a bottle of soft drink because I thought it was complimentary.

The hotel is shaped like a ship with pointed corners. The doors on the 7th floor are painted yellow.

The rooms at the Clarion Hotel The Edge are generally small. Since there are three of us, the only room that could fit an extra bed is the room for handicaps which has a bigger toilet and hallway. A twin bed was already in room 711 when we checked in but Edmund was the one who set it up and the only place it could fit is in the hallway right in front of the toilet and the door. The headboard now blocks one third of the door.
