(April 24, 2016 NY)
There was no shuttle service provided after dinner. The bus didn’t come back for us so we walked back to the hotel.
It was cold but still very pleasant to walk.
This is 6th Ave. also called the Avenue of the Americas. I am familiar with this area because this is near the Rockefeller Center, MoMa, Fifth Avenue. This is where I used to take the E subway train going to Queens.
Jun poses beside NBC Studios’ marker. Kunwari nanood sya ng The Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon.
A block away is the Rockefeller Center. This is just a small area but has become world famous and frequented by tourists. I myself like to hang around here, upo-upo lang, watching people go by. There were times in the past that I would sit here till after all the shops have closed.
With Susan Dimacali, Nadine, Beth, etc.
Sometimes there are celebrity events at this restaurant. Pag meron, ang hirap din maki kagulo para makita yung Hollywood actors kasi merong mga harang, six footers yung mga body guards ang lalapad pa ng katawan at maraming mga turista rin nakikisiksik.
Go up 70 floors to the Top of the Rock and enjoy sweeping views of the Big Apple. For those afraid of heights, they also have an indoor glass viewing deck. Tickets are around $30 per person.
We made a quick stop at a convenience store along Fifth Avenue.
Naaliw kami dito sa Coca-cola bottles. I felt nostalgic.
Ganito kasi nung araw.
One of the things that a political candidate mentioned in one of his books is the presence of food vendors around Manhattan. You see them in practically every corner. About 20 years ago, konti lang sila, mostly Sabret hotdog, ngayon wala na akong makita na original Sabret, iba na ang lasa ng hotdog, meron ring shawarma, rice with chicken, beef, etc.
O, inventory clearance uli. Every time I would see this store, they are always having an inventory clearance and sometimes closing out sale.
It was getting late and temperature had dropped. Ang ginaw na.
