Count your sukli - Oh My Buhay

I don’t normally count my sukli (change). Lately, I try. I try to remember to count but I still forget.

I know most of the time the sukli given back to me by our drivers are kulang, why? Because they know how busy I am. They see me just putting the sukli inside my bag, not counting them. The rare times that I counted? Kulang talaga.

Recently I’ve been eating and shopping using cash majority of the time. And, lately, I’ve been counting the change before I leave the cashier.

I had a late lunch at Xiao Long Bao in Rockwell. I paid with a 1,000 peso bill. After the cashier gave me my receipt and change, I decided to step sideways to allow the next customer to pay, while I counted the change. Kulang ng P100.
Buti na lang I haven’t left the restaurant yet when I discovered. Malaki yung 100 pesos. It could be an honest mistake but still.

Rustan’s marketplace—- I counted my change right in front of the cashier— kulang ng apat na piso.

Hen Lin inside the Cardinal Santos Hospital cafeteria. The girl gave me P1 coin instead of P5. It was an honest mistake. Nakakalito naman talaga. They look alike. This one hindi ko na kinulekta. Lugi ako four pesos.

Robinsons Department Store—- Kulang ng seventy five centavos. I complained to the cashier. She gave me one peso.

I don’t remember receiving a change in excess of the correct amount. Always kulang.
