Current Events

1. Why do we have to spend five hundred million pesos (P500,000,000.00) for a Martial Law Museum? Isn’t that an utter waste of people’s money? Malaki na ang 100M for a museum.
Marami ring wala pang kuryente.

2. China’s threat is real.

3. For new house constructions, some exclusive villages are already requiring the owners to have at least 4 car garages. In some subdivisions with bigger lots, a minimum of 6 parking spaces are required. For residents who live in areas that are not gated, how would this “no garage no car policy” be implemented? Good idea but the problem would be in the monitoring and implementation. I hope the responsibility will not be passed on to the car dealers because we cannot visit the houses of our customers to check if they have a big enough garage.

Those building their homes, please allot the ground floor for your garage. Iwas baha pa ang bahay nyo.

4. Senator Ralph Recto is pushing for the passage of the bill lowering income tax despite Pnoy’s opposition. The government might even increase their collection because there would be more people paying taxes. Please also lower corporate income tax.

5. Taytay was one of the most progressive towns in Rizal province. Nung araw, they were know to have a vibrant garments export industry. When my mom would need fabrics for her wedding gowns business, she would buy her supplies in Taytay when she’s too tired to go to Divisoria.

I fully support the local government’s efforts in reviving Taytay’s garments industry. This newspaper ad is cute pero sana wala na yung picture ni Mayor para hindi masuspetsahan na political advertisement and self promotion.
