Saturdays are supposedly our family date night but beginning in April of last year, we’re missing out on this once a week family bonding. We’re not complete. Nyke is away and sometimes Oyen has dinners and parties.
March 25 was one of those incomplete nights. So it’s just the two of us. Instead of a family night, my husband and I had a date.
We went to mass first.
We went to Eastwood after. We were wondering how come it was dark. Yun pala Earth Hour. We totally forgot. We didn’t instruct the maids to switch off the lights at home.
For a weekend night, we were expecting there would be more people. It was quiet. Bad for the retailers and restaurants.
We went to Cyma for dinner because their steamed mussels is Edmund’s favorite. Mine too. I liked the soup more than the mussels.
We waited for about half an hour for this grilled pompano but it was well worth it. It was fresh and flavorful.
I didn’t want to order dessert at Cyma because I wanted yogurt.
But then, we passed by the La Lola Churros. I only wanted to have one or two pieces but the minimum was 6. Husband assured me that we could finish the 6.
The last time I passed by this La Lola Churreria, there were at least a dozen people waiting in line. Where are the people? It feels lonely.
We sat down on the chairs beside the stairs but it was humid. Edmund said churros go with yogurt. We left and walked up two floor to reach Red Mango.
Dogs like yogurt too.
He ordered his usual preference, original flavor with almonds. Mine is always original with red bean double.
Edmund pours the chocolate dip on his yogurt. Ayaw ko, parang hindi terno sa red bean.
