We’re going to Cascais today, a coastal /beach town 35 kilometers away and less than an hour train ride from Lisbon. It’s a small fishing village during the medieval times. Since the King has a palace there (Citadel Palace) other wealthy Portuguese nobility built vacation homes / summer retreat there too which drove up the prices of real estate.
We had breakfast early because our call time’s an hour earlier than usual.

We haven’t left, yet I was already feeling sleepy.
We walked for a few minutes from Corpo Santo to the train station.

We’ve been to prettier places in the past few days and yet we chose this inconspicuous train station as the back drop of our first group photo. Smile.
I actually didn’t know beforehand where we were going.

We found the graffiti around madungis. We couldn’t understand why the government tolerated it.
Our first destination was the coin toilet just outside the train station building. There were two stalls and a woman was standing by to assist customers and of course to deter those who wanted to use it for free.
We were joking around while waiting for our respective turns. I went ahead of Edmund. A—-“Tart, pwede pala tayo sabay”.
E—–“Baka kung ano’ng mangyari sa atin dyan”.
My sister found the right hat for the amount she was only willing to pay. Euro 5 same as what I paid for mine. Oyen’s was a lot more expensive, Euro 18.
Having a hat was more or less a must. With their kind of heat, you might as well put a lot of oil or hair creme on your head while walking around, para ka na ring nagpa hot oil.
Edmund bought his complete head to toe ensemble the day before. Meron pala sya kapareho ng taste.
