Media Noche

I was so dead tired from the HK trip. I felt like I came from a 25 hours journey. Parang meron akong jet leg. From all those walking around Nathan, Mody and Canton Road.

I forced myself to get up otherwise we would have nothing for media noche except for the turkey from Mrs. Balaguer.

Since there’s no traffic, I ventured into the seafood market in Pasay. We arrived there in just 15 minutes.

My son and I love crabs.
Crabs- oh my buhay

The place is perfect for seafood lovers but it’s so tiring negotiating for a good price. The vendors try to overprice, compute higher, trick buyers with the kilogram, etc.
I bought 2 kilos of lobster. Gina, the vendor, was hiding the calculator from me. she didn’t want me to see the calculation. Hello, I know how to compute mentally! They thought most buyers would just trust and pay them with whatever amount. Life would be easier if all of us are trustworthy.

I wanted to spare Cherry, our cook, the stress of cooking so many things for media noche so I just had the lobster cooked in one of the restaurants there. I paid P500 plus P50 tip. But I waited for more than an hour because there were dozens of people ahead of me.

I also bought paputok. I enjoy watching fireworks display so much and my love for it rubbed-of on my children.

Firecrackers- oh my buhay

I bumped into my husband when I was buying firecrackers. It was so funny. He paid P300 for the sawa. I paid P270, then P250. Siguro he did not bargain.
