Destined to live

My mother had 4 consecutive boys that were healthy.  Then came another boy that died few hours after birth.  Ipinaglihi daw sa buko kaya malambot ang bungo.  Of course the doctors didn’t see it that way.  Something went wrong during her pregnancy.  Verdict?  She should not have babies again.

Almost a decade later,  she got pregnant.  Because all they had were boys,  maybe this was a subconscious attempt to have a girl.  However, it would be risky for her and the baby.  When she was pregnant,  they seriously considered aborting or terminating the pregnancy to prevent any risk on my mother and the baby.   After much agony,  they decided to take the risk,  keep the baby and let God decide whether to make her/him  healthy or alive.
