There was no electricity in Tagaytay for several days that’s why many restaurants remained closed as of last weekend including Cafe Breton where my daughter had wanted to eat.
It was 2:20 pm, coming from Lemery Batangas, we wanted to eat something light before our 3:30 pm spa appointment. Hindi pwedeng busog na busog kasi dadapa pag masahe, baka masuka kami.
With Cafe Breton closed, our next optionn of course is Fire Lake Grill, their place was full and since it’s fine dining, it could take a bit more time. We didn’t want to miss our spa appointment so with a slight feeling of hesitation, we settled for Buon Giorno.
The seared tuna salad was fine.
I’m happy with their cream of broccoli. It’s served very hot.
Oyen ordered a vegetarian panini sandwich. The best part is the side chips.
It’s not always true that we learn from our mistakes. Oyen ordered their pizza hoping that after several years, they have improved their pizza making skills and taste.
This was a regret. It’s npt as good as it looks. The dough was saggy and the toppings had no taste. The waiter said they prepare fresh dough every morning, eh bakit ganito pa rin. Baka lang sobrang taas ng standards namin when it comes to pizzas.
I saw a lot of cheese but they didn’t add to the taste. This reminded me of the pizza Edmund and I used to eat back in college. Pang estudyante. Kailangan taktakan ng kung anu-ano para magka-lasa.
Nyke’s order, lamb shanks. Eat light pala ha.
He was not raving about it but he finished it.
I know this place is a hit amongst many but so far it has failed to impress my family. Our first, second and third dining experiences were okay but not something we would crave for.
I like the ambiance, it has a nice view of the lake and a bit romantic.
Bring mosquito repellant lotion if you wish to dine in the terrace. Better to wear pants. But the Italian mosquitoes from Buon Giorno also bit my arms and eyelid.
