The dinner sponsored by Philippines, Inc. in celebration of the appointment of Babe Romualdez as the new Philippine Ambassador to the USA was set at 7 pm but I arrived at 8:45 pm. Grabe I left our house at 6 pm, the traffic was almost at a standstill along EDSA. I wanted to turn around and go back home but I was stuck in the middle of EDSA. My colleagues didn’t believe when I told me it took me almost 3 hours to get there.
The party venue was the sprawling residence of Noel Onate in Makati.
Aside from Philippines, Inc. officers and members, Noel invited some of his friends.

Tonyboy Cojuangco stuck to his diet of eating only once a day every 4 pm. He wants his weight to go down to 185 lbs. He’s 200 now. He didn’t touch any of the food, bilib ako sa control nya. I just saw him drinking champagne.
Our food was prepared by Chef Jessie
I love lechon but when I saw a baby pig on the carving table, naawa ako.
Beybing-baby pa sya. Nakakaawa. Wala pa syang kamuang-muang. We should not kill baby pigs. The sight of this bab y pig brought back vivid memories of my father who had a piggery in Wawa, Binangonan, Rizal. I witnessed how he cared for the pigs, big and small. When a mommy pig gave birth, my papa took extra care of the babies, lovingly nursing them with milk from a bottle. I’ve seen him carry the piglets very carefully.
Sobrang naawa ako talaga dito sa ni lechon na baby. We should ban baby lechon. How can you have the heart to kill, roast and eat them? Please stop.
