Security guards check vehicles that enter the Solaire’s driveway. They open the trunks or doors but they don’t really look inside. It would also be difficult to thouroughly inspect each vehicle because that would be very intrusive and abala to customers.
Bomb sniffer. the dog, not the man.
Marble flooring with the sun and sea design
Solaire’s wow effect- giant crystal or glass chandeliers dripping down below from the building’s 4th floor
Towering models greet visitors as they enter the lobby. Guests take turns taking pictures.
I didn’t want to ridicule myself by posing beside them. I would look like an aging grandma with my head up to their chests.
Solaire’s big boss Ricky Razon accomplished what he wanted- to make Solaire a destination in itself.
After Len and Bong had seen Solaire, they found Robinsons Magnolia plain-looking. He he he, different category. Solaire became their gold standard.
My concern only is the hallway leading to the restaurants passes thru the gaming area. I am kind of paranoid not to expose my son to this. Baka ma-entice syang mag sugal, patay na tayo dyan.
Fresh white, blue and pink hydrangeas sprouting from glass vases. Hmmm, a fairly nice idea that needs better execution.
Feeling turista
Nakaka- engganyong umupo dito sa slot machine. The machines are very new, wider, bigger on screen display. The chairs are also wider and look more comfortable. Unfortunately, I cannot be seen inside the gaming area even if naka tunganga lang ako. People’s tongue would start wagging. “Ah yan si Annie, LAGI kong nakikita nagsusugal”. See how people would say it? LAGI, eh once lang ako nakita. Kahit nakiupo lang ako at nakapikit ang mata, they would say “nagsusugal”. That’s bad. Really bad.
Lucerne opened a boutique inside Solaire.
We refrained from going inside as we might spend an hour there.
Bawal pala to take pictures with the gaming area in the background. I wasn’t conscious about it as I was only focused on my son.
This shot is also supposed to be bawal. Again, I was only looking at my son and oblivious to the background. Only after, did Edmund call my attention.
Another one of those streaming chandeliers. Pretty impressive.
We don’t know where this grand staircase leads to, maybe to the ballrooms.
going up to the off limits area
The restaurants all have an ambience of grandness mainly due to the high ceilings.
We were supposed to go to the buffet but we were derailed when I saw Lucky noodles restaurant.
We settled here instead. It’s 9 pm and having a buffet would be bad at this hour.
Colorful chopsticks. Lovely but they’ve been to hundreds of mouths. Go ask for the patpat chopsticks instead.
Edmund was busy looking at their long and open stainless steel kitchen.
Our dirty kitchen is under renovation and we also want to put stainless steel for easy maintenance and no termites.
I don’t like their chairs. There’s no place to securely put handbags. No backrest, mahuhulog ang bag. Pag isinabit, baka naman masungkit ng mga kawatans. Alangan naman sa sahig, di nadumihan. No choice but to hug and place on my lap.
LED lights inserted in bended plastic cables are used in the modern ceiling of Lucky Noodles.
Giant art decorate the huge walls.
Edmund did not like his food. He ordered noodle soup but he found the soup lacking in taste.
He theorizes that the restaurant has just newly opened kaya hindi pa daw gaanong napakuluan yung mga stock ingredients, unlike in old restaurants, they just keep on adding water to the boiling soup stock.
Their version of Hainan Chicken.
I ordered fish ball noodle soup. It’s okay but there could still be some room for improvement.
The grand staircase leads to the casino’s VIP section. Baka dun naglalaro mga altang lulong miss Annie. Haha. I find Solaire beautiful but everywhere you go theres the gaming area unlike resorts world. i did not like it that much. I also did not like the beautiful girls in the entrance. Nag-ayos pa ko pagpasok ko na talo na beauty ko agad. Hahaha
