9 pm,  Half Moon Bay

After dining at Sam’s,

A———-“So Tart, alam mo na ang daan natin?  Hindi na tayo mag-g-GPS?”

E———- “Hindi na”.

A———- “So deretso na lang tayo? Kabisado mo na?”

E———-“Madali na yan…”

A———-“Diretso lang ba ang Ritz Carlton?”

E——— “Mag bi-visual lang tayo”.

A——— “So madadaanan natin?  Siguro naman meron silang malaking karatula”.

After about 10 minutes,

We continued driving,  straight, way past commercial establishments, a Ford dealership,  houses,  and crossed two very dark mountains with no other vehicles on the road except us.

A———-“Tart,  wala ng tao dito.  Ganito ba talaga ang dadaanan?  Ang layo pa pala nun?”

E———-“Hindi ko natandaan na ganito kalayo”.

A———“Kala ko ba alam mo?”

A———“I search natin?  Dead na two phones ko”.

E———“Shet, dead na rin battery ko, wala na akong signal”.

E———“Pag may nakita tayong gasolinahan,  magtanong tayo”.

A  ( buntunghininga,  inis)

E (silence)

(obviously NOT)

A———–“Anong street?”

E (silence)

Buti na lang I wrote down the address on a piece of paper.  I searched for it in my bag.

Ala,  lampas na kami,  I’ve seen the Miramonte Point Road  two mountains ago.

It was my fault also because I just relied on the fact that husband number one and only had been to Ritz Carlton  twice.  I also didn’t switch on our vehicle’s GPS plus I should have  plugged Tomtom.

E———–“Balik tayo?”
