Do you want soft, hard or very hard? - Oh My Buhay

Do you want soft, hard or very hard?

I have flu-like symptoms (until now) so I just  stayed home last Saturday but went out in the evening, to church and dinner with Edmund.  My kids had their own thing.  Oyen was out the whole day,  then she went to the birthday dinner party of her boyfriend’s mom.  Nyke naman attended a birthday din daw in Rockwell.

So it’s just the two of us.  Oyen said “that’s good so you and dad could bond”.  Inaway ko kasi si Edmund last Friday morning.  I was so mad at him. Nyke was awakened by my yelling. My muscles are no match to his.

Within that day we kissed and made up na rin.   He said “sweetheart sorry na”.

Sometimes when one or two of us are not available on Saturday night,  we go to mass on Sunday so we could all go to mass together.  But lately,  my kids also go out with their “in a relationship” friends on Sundays.

Edmund and I went ahead and attended mass last Saturday even without my kids.

saturday mass, August 15, 2015

After the mass,  we went to the new Estancia Mall in Capitol Commons, Pasig for dinner.

Oyen recommended a ramen place there,  I wanted to have hot soup kasi.

Eto daw,  she had dined here at Ikkoryu Fukuoka Japanese Ramen on the basement or where the restaurants are,  including Mercury Drug and National Bookstore.

The waitress highly recommended this new flavor.

A few minutes after we’ve placed our orders, the waitress came back asking if we wanted soft, regular, hard or very hard. She asked Edmund first, I didn’t know at first what it was all about. Narinig ko lang merong soft, hard. The very hard caught my full attention. Ano daw yun? I chose hard, Edmund did too. Syempre ano, kung soft, wala tayong maa-achieve. Magtitinginan lang tayo.

Dapat dito sa restaurant nito rated R and for married couples only who are dining with their legal spouse.

The choices pertained to how long the noodles would be cooked. Sigurado they would choose soft. They cannot take “very hard”, masyadong masakit, sa gilagid.

My order came with one giant shrimp.   The size looked more scary than appetizing.

Edmund helped me dismember it.  He ate the head while I ate the body.

Aside from eating all his quote unquote HARD ramen, he also helped me finish mine.

The gyoza came a little bit late.  They were slim and petite but delicious.  Edmund ate two pieces, I ate 4.

gyoza, Ikkoryu

Recommendation? Stick to hard.
