After months of anxiety, our meeting was finally set at the Bag of Beans in Tagaytay for Friday at 2 pm
Despite heavy rains and strong winds, I was half hour early to our meeting.
I was anxious she or they would try my patience by coming half hour late or showing up at 3 pm. I kept looking at my watch. I started drawing at 2:03 pm.
2:10
2:15 I sent my drivers to their house to find out if they’re on their way or what. The rain was pouring and what was I doing here instead of heading back home to beat the rains?
2:20 They were just waiting for their driver daw. I offered to give them a ride and bring them back after the meeting.
2:25 My driver called to inform me that they refused to ride with them. She’ll wait for her daughter to pick her up daw. I instructed my drivers to just wait for them. Not to leave.
2:35 My driver called to say they were now on a convoy.
2:45 She arrived without her daughter. She wanted carbonara but couldn’t finish it so we ordered carbonara split in half.
We also split a Steak and Mushroom pie. She couldn’t finish her half.
Over hot tea for her and hot Tablea chocolate na medyo sunog for me, we came into an agreement and she signed the contract so we could both move forward.
Their family has a huge problem now. Her eldest daughter is putting her in a difficult situation. She stole her 25 sets of jewelry worth at least 5M. Hinulug-hulugan daw nya yan for many years, na accumulate nya unti-unti and yet her daughter just squandered it in one sweep. My advise was for her to find out what her daughter is doing with the money. She could be hooked in the casino or engaged in pyramiding. She said she couldn’t sleep at night. She would wake up at 1 am thinking about why this is happening to them. She’s hanging on to her faith that this too will pass. I am with her in prayers. I hope things turn out okay for her family.
