It was so hot and humid in Binangonan. I just couldn’t stay there longer than two hours, tuyot na agad ang beauty ko. It was hotter than in Manila.
I wanted to get out of there fast but it was already noon. Baka my driver and maid are hungry already. I asked them if it’s okay that we go straight home and eat at home or gusto nilang kumain sa Jollibee?
The driver made a wrong turn, nalampas kami sa Jollibee, there’s no U-turn in Binangonan, hindi kasya sasakyan.
With that, I decided to just have lunch with them at the only air-conditioned restaurant in town, owned by a British guy married to a Filipina from our town. I think they met in Dubai. They retired and opened this restaurant.
I made them sit at the nearby table.
I ordered lots of food. Parang fiesta.
I also ordered one big bandehadong pansit bihon, pork sisig. Meron pa kaming tatlong halo-halo. I only ate a small cup of sinigang soup and few pieces of tempura. My two companions finished the pansit, sisig, sinigang and 4 big cups of rice. Tig-isa rin sila ng halo-halo.
The maid showed her appreciation by saying thank you mam. The driver just stood up and went to the vehicle after eating. Before getting on the van, I glanced at him, he was dead-ma.
