After eight hours, we are here in Dubai, spending the next 3 hours till our next leg to Heathrow.
It’s both our first time and we’ve heard Dubai duty free is a destination in itself.
The boutiques were enticing but NO shopping yet, otherwise, ubos na agad ang budget.
I decided to buy this Chanel perfume. The price is almost the same as in other countries. tila $2 cheaper lang.
I was next in at the cashier. Cashier was a Filipina.
Ang bagal naman nitong magbayad. Nice her tattoo sa batok.
I paid the perfume in cash US$93.00, conscious not to indiscriminately use my credit cards. Edmund said I should preserve my cash kasi daw start pa lang ng travel naming, baka maubusan ako. Takot naman ako na pag-uwi ko eh tambak ang utang ko sa credit card. This time I want to keep my expenses in check. Wish me luck.
I went to the information counter to inquire about the famous Dubai raffle.
The receptionist was also a Filipina, medyo pang lima ako in-line
Filipina to a white foreigner ——— “Go der, dat’s your ayroplen”.
She pointed to another counter.
I was trying to claim for a raffle ticket, kala ko for every purchase merong raffle ticket. Yun pala they are selling raffle tickets. If you one to have a chance to win the top price, you have to pay $250 more or less, parang lotto.
This is Sunshine from the Philippines, she’s been working here for two years.
