Duck Eggs - Oh My Buhay

Once in a while I crave for salted duck eggs with tomatoes. Minsan, the eggs smell bad, parang bulok na. Maybe they’ve been in the grocery for a long time. I also do not like when the yoke is creamy or there’s some kind of liquid. Pagka ganun I don’t eat it na lang.

Lately I discovered a salted ducks vendor along the Sta. Rosa – Tagaytay Road. At P15 a piece, it’s a little expensive than the market price of P12. The vendor assured me that theirs is fresh and “babalik-balikan ko daw”. To test, I bought three pieces.

Yesterday, I bought some more. She was right, babalik-balikan ko talaga. Theirs is not too salty, no smell, and no yucky yoke.

There’s a P30 discount per tray, kaya P14 / piece na lang.
