The original plan was to have lunch somewhere near Stanford but our next appointment would be in San Francisco so Tonyboy suggested that we just eat lunch in the city. Para malapit na daw kami sa susunod naming meeting.
We asked the consulate for a recommendation and they brought us to E & O Asian Kitchen on Sutter Street.
Nung panahon ni Magellan my Kuya Lito has an office somewhere around here that’s why I am familiar with some of the street names. California, Sutter, Stockton, Powell, Geary, etc. Every time it crosses my mind, I begin to think of my papa. Lagi kasi syang merong instruction kung nasaan yung kalye, etc.
Someone said E&O is a Japanese restaurant kaya I was surprised when I saw Thai decor.
Tje menu is a fusion of many Asian countries, including America.
Tonyboy ordered this tuna tartare which we all shared. Among the dishes, this I liked the most.
Jun ordered this calamari and we all shared. Ang cute namin, para kaming isang pamilya.
Jun and Tony finished this roasted edamame.
We had two orders of steamed duck buns. I ate one, Tony one, Jun one, Rp one, Dindo one, and one for Orly. The consulate officers didn’t join us, inaya namin pero nahihiya siguro.
Grilled salmon – medyo nogsunog.
We were all hungry and happy to see food. Rp finished this dish called Shaking Beef.
i don’t have any recollection about this dessert. Looking at the number of spoons, it looks like we all made tikim. Tony ordered ginger cookies which he generously shared to all of us.
One for all.
I will most likely come back to this restaurant to eat Ahi Tartare and take home a dozen cookies.
