I missed the instruction of Craig, to stand at a corner near Starbucks. I couldn’t find Starbucks. I must have missed it by one or two blocks. But I was afraid to walk back and forth because for one, my feet were so tired, two, the temperature dropped to 5 and it was raining.
I stood alongside the road, beside the old building (top photo), scrutinizing every van that came along. I’ve been watching a man engaged in conversation over his phone while his vehicle was parked 3 meters away from me.
When it was 2:20 pm, I asked this Scottish man to help me contact Craig using his cellphone. He didn’t think twice. He spoke to Craig and gave my exact location, which was one block away from where he’d been waiting.
In two minutes, the van was there and off we went, back to St. Andrews.
