Edmund was bitten by a cat - Oh My Buhay

Edmund was bitten by a cat

Edmund went to the car depot this afternoon. He didn’t notice there was a cat sitting beside where Edmund was standing at. When he moved, Edmund accidentally stepped on the kuting and it bit him hard. Malalim daw at dumugo talaga. He was only wearing slippers kaya he had no protection.
He’s now in the hospital for the anti-rabies injections. The doctor told Edmund he has to get 7 injections today which would cost at least 60,000 pesos in total. There would be follow up injections in a few days. The cost per injection is at least P7,500.

This was the second time he was bitten by a cat. Long long time ago when Oyen was only 4 years old and Nyke wasn’t born yet, there was a big cat belonging to our neighbor that liked to hang around in our auxiliary kitchen. One night, around 7 pm, after dinner, Edmund went to the kitchen. Binugaw yata nya yung pusa using his feet. Hayun, kinalmot ang paa nya.

Nung araw only San Lazaro Hospital had ready vaccines. Nagdrive sya going to San Lazaro in Manila, ang layu-layo, I was so worried, he came home at almost midnight.

  1. Hi An. The Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Alabang, Muntinlupa has cheaper rates.

    1. H Alvin, He had the injections at Cardinal Santos. Alabang is medyo far from our area. Thanks.

  2. It’s free po in public hospitals. Kaya mahal sa private kasi walang kahati doon sa vial ng gamot. Ang kaso lang sa public hospital madaming nakapila parang Nfa rice.

    1. Hi, mahaba din ang pila kanina sa Cardinal Santos Hospital. He waited for at least two hours.
