August 26, 2015 Wednesday
I was excited to wake up this morning believing that my sickness would be gone in no time at all. I now have the right medications and there’s just a positive feeling in my heart that soon I would be up and about.
Today’s Edmund’s birthday too. I woke up at around 6:40 am and he was gone. I just suspected that he went to play golf.
The sun was up early and the loud chirping of the birds matched my feeling positive today. The storm is gone, it would be a good day.
I sent the driver to buy a birthday cake from Dexter’s Bakeshop in Katipunan Avenue near St. Ignatius Village.
The maid cooked pancit canton. The looks matches the taste.
I also ordered buckets of KFC for all of us, including the maids and drivers.
We also have kare-kare from Max and four orders of Banh cuon from Phobac Vietnamese Restaurant. The KFC, pancit and cake are to share with the staff.
The banh cuon are for my kids. They open the ref and look for something to eat. The kare-kare is for Oyen.
Ninety Jollibee food packs went to Ford Cainta, one hundred to Makati Ford and one hundred ten to Ford Connecticut and Ford EDSA, courtesy of Oyen, for her dad’s blow-out.
Just a little something to put smiles on their faces.
Madali kasi pag Jollibee chicken joy. Wala ng pinggan kailangan and we’re 100% sure ubos nila agad.
We left the house at past 7:20 pm. Oyen’s reservation was between 7:30-8pm.
I was wearing this blue and white Jessica dress, a Christmas gift from Oyen. It came with this ja-peks bling-bling. First time to go out in almost two weeks, not counting hospital visits.
Oyen reserved a table at Cowrie Grill. Edmund asked me why we’re going to that restaurant, it’s so far away daw. He thought kasi it’s in Manila Hotel. I told him, hindi, nasa Greenhills lang.
He played golf kasi when Oyen, Nyke and I went to have mother’s day lunch there.
When we entered, the receptionist told Nyke, “Welcome back sir”.
Ooops bistado suki sya dito. Fifty percent off daw kasi.
I didn’t expect the restaurant would be full, kaya medyo maingay.
My daughter said the crowd is taking advantage of the restaurant’s promo.
My order, Seafood Grill P1,800 ++
Edmund told the waiters “no singing”, he didn’t want them to greet him happy birthday.
He agreed to blow the candle.
I couldn’t resist the temptation. This is actually an ice cream cake.
Oyen paid for our mill. She got 50% off. And every wednesday pala women get 30% off whether you paid in cash or credit card. Our total bill was supposed to be almost P8,000 but it dropped to less than P5,000 because of the discount. Ang laki ng discount. I think that’s a credit card promo, maybe BDO, BPI or Metrobank. All those cards I don’t have.
We left Cowrie Grill at 10 pm. Nyke went to Happy Lemon inside Promenade to buy tea for his friend.
One more candle to blow at home. Nyke left right away to bring the Happy Lemon tea to his friend as soon as we reached our gate that’s why he was not in this photo.
Wala na nga akong birthday gift for him, hinawahan ko pa sya ng sipon.
Happy birthday tart.
