Our family hosted a simple dinner / get-together for eight lawyers and a general.
It was a truly rare occasion. I was worried they would not be able to make it because it’s hard to gather people nowadays because people are busy and the traveling time deters anyone from traveling from Makati to Quezon City.
But they were all present.
It’s such a privilege to be able to gather this group of talented lawyers who have become our family’s friends.
The firsts to arrive were Brig. General Rolly Anonuevo and the love of his life, Atty. Marievic Anonuevo, Senior Partner at Sycip Law and multi-awarded lawyer here and abroad.
Although our guests were only 9, plus the three of us, I ordered lechon big enough for 25 people so that our household employees could enjoy it as well.
I wasn’t able to order lobster in advance so I only bought king crabs. I picked each and every crab and luckily, they were all fresh and with plenty of meat.
I didn’t know if the guests liked the soup. I hope so, I was the one who cooked it.
Yen, Atty. Leo Anonuevo (eldest son of Atty. Marievic Anonuevo), Atty. Anton Dee and Atty. Albert Yu Chang
The food was halo-halo. Eclectic, Kung anu-ano lang. Hindi terno-terno.
Kawawang baboy. Stripped of dignity.
Antonia and Jun, uuyyy bagay sila.

It was a lovely evening. I would love to host another dinner for them again. Marievic is retiring in 2 years and I told her when she retires we can travel together. She said not to wait two years, TARA NA!
It’s really nice to see young and very intelligent Lawyers. The Philippines is very lucky to have these young professionals. I’ll include them in my prayers na manatili sila sa tamang daan at hindi maligaw ng landas. Thanks Annie!
Hi Bess. Thanks for the message, Regards.
