I received Maymay Liechtenstein’s party invitation in celebration of her 53rd birthday dubbed “Curious Events” a saga on enjoying life in unexpected, raw, pure ways!!! After I replied “I will be there”, she said “expect the unexpected”. These words got me thinking maybe there will be a stripper.
Parang I am not in the mood for birds. My imagination ran wild. I told Edmund ayaw kong merong lalaki na sasayaw sa harap ko, hindi ko type. Baka ma-tempt ako eh mahila ko bird nya. Edmund advised me to just sit at the back.

Maymay requested me to come on time, 6 pm or before 7 pm the latest. She said “come by 7 not to miss some actions!
January 20, 2014 Monday
My son and I were supposed to go back to Cardinal Santos Hospital but we decided to just go on Wednesday. That freed-up an hour of my time so I was able to leave for Ayala Alabang, where the party would be held, a little bit earlier.
Because of the distance and traffic congestion near McKindley Hill in C5 and bumper to bumper taffic near Ayala Alabang’s gate, we reached Maymay’s party venue at 6:50 pm.
I gave Lior Liechtenstein my gift for his wife Maymay.
I wasn’t late at all. There were 4 or 5 ladies ahead of me- Ma-an Hontiveros of Asian Spirit, Joanne Pedrosa, etc. But the rest of her guests came past 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Margie Moran arrived at past 8 pm. Atty. Lorna Kapunan, her sweetheart Jimmy Regalario, and their friend and Mazda’s Makati’s loyal customer, Pete, arrived at 8:40 pm just before the bus was about to leave.
The waiter must have recognized me from the previous parties that he spilled the beans. As soon as he saw me, he told me right away that the dinner won’t be held there. They only have cocktails in this house, then a bus would pick us up and bring us to BF Homes, Paranaque. That information is supposed to be top secret. Expect the unexpected remember?
When I saw the amount of food spread on the table, I asked Lior if they’re expecting 100 more people.
