Sintra is a place you wouldn’t want to miss when you are in Lisbon. It’s one of the best places to visit in Portugal. It’s only 29 kilometers away from the city center and easily accessible by car, bus or train. If you are pressed with time, a day trip is sufficient.
When our bus started its way thru the narrow undulating terrains, I sat up straight and told myself, oh wow, what a charming little town.
The Moorish style centuries old buildings standing on the hills framed by a naturally exotic scenery of colorful blooms sprinkled my heart with its unique Portuguese charm. Lisbon has slowly grown on me.
Now I know why Sintra was last in our itinerary. If the first few days didn’t make us fall in love with Lisbon, this one would.
Tourists were crawling in every corner of this small town. Dagdag pa kami.
Some Philippine celebrities, such as Anne Curtis visited Sintra too around the time we were here. They attended a wedding in Lisbon and did some sightseeing too.
I wanted to try this delicious-looking mariscos but we were leaving in a few minutes to go to lunch.
We were going to lunch next but that didn’t stop us from trying Sintra’s pastries.
