I sued a relative for falsification of public documents - Oh My Buhay

Falsification of public-documents

Last November 20 I went to the National Prosecution Service office in Quezon City.

Cecilia Munoz-Palma Hall

I was assisted by one young lawyer and her colleague in the filing of the complaint-affidavit.

Assistant lawyers

The last thing I wanted to do but I had to do it to protect my interest. I felt bad while affixing my signature on the complaint-affidavit.
Falsification of documents

I filed a criminal case against someone for falsification of public documents and or use of falsified documents.

court documents, falsification of documents

I met a guy who was filing a case against his female friend for estafa and BP22 for a P5,000,000 investment that didn’t materialize. Hayan na nga ang lagi kong sinasabi, huwag ng sumali at maniwala dyan sa mga inve-investment na yan. Look at what happened to my son. Siya ang naipit. Kunsumisyon sobra.

There was a woman naman filing for bigamy. Yung asawa daw nya eh meron na palang asawa dati pa. Naku kunsumisyon din pag ganyan.
Ang daming tao dun, iba-iba ang kwento ng problema.

filing of complaints

Ako naman eto ang kwento ko (edited and shortened):

In 2013 a family had to let go of a property to pay for the medical expenses and day to day upkeep of their father whose health was fast deteriorating. The children were living abroad and only the youngest child, together with several caregivers and one driver were there to care for the father.

Sad to say, their trusted caregiver squandered the money being sent thru her supposedly for the father’s food, medicines, etc. Their family trusted her so much with their money but she didn’t think of these things.

The father passed away immediately after they sold the house.

I found out that someone falsified the signatures of the original owners to secure an eTitle from the Land Registration Authority in Quezon City. My initial investigation clearly pointed to the obvious, that he was assisted by someone extremely knowledgeable with real property titling and documentation and I suspect that someone from the inside helped him.

I am supposed to file a civil case in addition to the criminal case I filed last week, to order the court to cancel the eTitle issued using manufactured documents including signatures of the original owners dated 2017 when those two had been long dead. The fiscal squirmed when I showed her a photo of the owners’ grave and tombstones.

Just a few weeks ago the house was finally turned-over to me. It’s dilapidated from years of neglect but the house still stands as a memory of the life of the patriarch. His pictures, diploma, books, correspondences to his clients were strewn all over the floor.
