December 28, 2015 Monday
We didn’t eat lunch so we set our dinner reservation at Chef’s Home at 6 pm. We arrived at 6:14 pm. Chef Alvin and wife Gina were there when we entered their restaurant.
This would be my children’s first time here.
I ordered the fried papaya salad which I found delicious the first time Edmund and I had it.
The waitress said they have crab so we ordered one chili crab.
Oyen ordered two dishes, pad thai and one more, sadly, both dishes were not available. She settled for fried chicken. I didn’t taste this but they said it’s delicious.
Four pieces prawns, one for each P1,500
The crab chili sauce was so good. Kahit sauce lang pwede nang ulam.
2,000 for one piece
Roti Canai with peaches, banana, coffee syrup
I was taken aback when I saw our food bill. The crab was 2,000. I thought it would only be a thousand because it was one piece. The 4 crabs were 1,500. They have many dishes that are equally delicious and priced reasonably, P200-300, the bill shoots up when there’s fresh seafood like prawns and crab. Edmund paid P4,875- plus tip.
Be prepared to spend 1,300 – 1,500 per person if you want to order seafood. Without seafood approximately P500 / person.
We walked around the courtyard of The Manor Hotel for a short while to burn some calories from our heavy dinner. It was getting so cold, with the temperature dropping to 14 degrees so we couldn’t stay out in the cold too long.
The four us had one hour massage in our rooms. Zzzz.
