At first glance, the aurora borealis appears to be just an ordinary streak of white clouds or a giant rainbow arch without the colors that spans from left to right. It can change its shape and form within minutes or in seconds.
The Aurora Borealis is also known as Northern Lights and appears in the higher northern latitude countries such as Norway, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Alaska, Scotland. It’s a natural light display in the arctic sky. It does not appear every night and only appears when it’s extremely cold, as in negative 20 degrees, the sky is clear and has many stars, but there are no guarantees. Not everyone who seek it saw it. Our family is so blessed we saw it the very first time we went to see it. I fell asleep on the bus and when I woke up it was already illuminating the Earth’s sky. Others waited till midnight to witness it.
The photographic cameras under low light setting can capture the magnificence of the Northern Lights better than our naked eye.
Our photo here was shot by a professional with many years of experience photographing the beauty of the Aurora Borealis using a big camera which she said cost her some half-million in Philippine peso equivalent.
This extraordinary family photo speaks of the gift of life and love.
