Edmund and I skipped the morning tour so we could rest and just take it easy. We really got tired the day before so today we just wanted to take our time, you know, old people.
We took a cab from Corpo Santo Hotel to join the FPG Insurance sponsored lunch at Pharmacia by Chef Felicidade located at the Museu da Pharmacia (Pharmacy and Health Museum).
Who would think of opening a restaurant inside a former pharmacy?

The first ingredient in having a fantastic lunch is great company.

Friends who share the same passion for good food.
Cynthia Nakpil picked the best place to have lunch in Lisbon. And she picked the best dishes. Oh well my views were in unison with the rest of our group. We all liked the ambiance, the salad was fantastic, and the meat? Oh so tender and flavorful.
Ang hilig ni Salve sa chicharon kaya na bypass. Almost everyday daw kumakain sya. Eh talaga namang masarap lalo may suka. Pero dapat not everyday. Siguro once a month lang. Meron daw kasing Lapid branch near their house in Quezon City, tuwing uuwi sya, dadaan sya. Inuulam daw nya.
Until now I am still craving for this salad with sliced almonds, walnut, fresh berries, cheese and honey cream. I want to go back to Lisbon just for this. It was so good.
We met the beautiful owner of Pharmacia, Chef Felicidade. She is a lawyer by profession but she gave that up to follow her passion for cooking.
Chef Felicidade with Oyen, and Paul Chuatico. Paul played for the Ateneo Blue Eagles during college days.
we couldn’t eat this pork without steamed rice so Paul ordered a few cups of rice.
The creme brulee had the right sweetness.
While waiting for our taxis we stayed under the shade across the street. The heat was really intense. It’s not a good idea to go to Portugal or Spain during this summer months. We couldn’t enjoy promenading outside. Too much glare and heat.
When my daughter asked me if I wanted to go back to Portugal I said maybe. My dining experience at Pharmacia changed my answer to a double maybe.
