I woke up at 5 am on thursday feeling agitated. Stitch was already awake by then and he followed me half-way to the banyo. I tried to sleep again but my stomach was upset and my brain cells have already started churning so I stood up and went down to the kitchen. Edmund was drinking tea. I opened the ref and found one tray of sliced watermelon so I started eating several slices.
At 9 am, I texted Edmund and asked if he could come with me tonight to St. Padre Pio Church if he has no commitments.
Oo daw.
I felt a little stressed and tried to cheer myself up but I still felt low.
I have a 10:30 am meeting in San Juan that was moved to 11 am.
I decided to wear this Made in Nepal dress I bought in Singapore last May. This is my new favorite dress.
I wanted to document this day so I asked Cherry to take my picture inside our powder room kasi madilim doon, para hindi gaanong kita ang mga wrinkles ko.
That is my new bag naman, I bought from the duty free shop at Changi International Airport in Singapore. Filipino pa nga yung sales rep. A lot of people noticed and asked what brand. Siguro kasi it’s so big, parang traveling bag. I used it during my visit to California last month. It could hold so many things, passports, sweater, laptop, Ipad, make-up kit, all my basura. I paid about US$500 for it. Ang bango-bango nung leather. Braun Buffel is made in Germany. They have some outlets here, in Podium and inside the Rustan’s Department Store in Ayala. Siguro I have bought eight of their bags already thru the years. Marami na akong na-engganyo to buy Braun Buffel, it’s not baduy and the price is reasonable. Medyo conservative nga lang ang style.
Edmund and I met at home at 6 pm and he willingly went with me to St. Padre Pio church in Libis.
Buti na lang tapos na ang misa para tahimik, pero there were still about two dozens of people lining up to touch Padre Pio’s hands.
I wrote down one page of my standard prayer requests and a page of puro “thank you”. I felt relieved afterwards.
Edmund, while reading the testimonials of those who were touched and healed by St. Padre Pio.
Eastwood is around the corner so we went to CYMA for dinner. Our orders are the same everytime.
It’s usually difficult to get a table at CYMA on weekends. Better to come here on weekdays.
Julienne called and asked to get her chocolate cake for dessert. Walang food stalls today, Mary Grace is the only one there because their small coffee shop is permanent.
It took me about 10 minutes to decide what to buy kasi a thin slice of chocolate cake is P95. They have something that’s called mini for P245 the size of which is 2x the slice. The whole one is P635 yata. Parang hindi tugma ang equation. I found the mini too expensive for its small size.
Edmund said “bilhin mo na yung isang buo.”
Eh ang dami naman. Mauubos din natin yan.
feeling low?… Ah does it come with age? for two consecutive days, i woke at 2 am sad and hindi na makatulog. BTW, I like your dress.
Maybe it does come with age.
Thank u Luming.
Try Meditation for 15-20 minutes after you wake up in the morning. And Drink 1 glass warm water on an empty stomach.Works for me.
I always pray as soon as I wake-up, even before I open my eyes. Thank you for your advice.
