We had Filipino food lunch at the fast food section of Island Pacific Supermarket.
Edmund had ginisang munggo and prok adobo. Yan daw kasi ang magka pares.
I had kare-kare. He paid $14+.
They even have chicharong bulaklak
There’s a Filipina pushing the stroller of her son. She didn’t notice the stack of patis. Natangay nya, bagsak buong tray.
E———“Naku, babayaran nya yan”.
No, they didn’t ask her to pay. It’s probably covered by insurance. Pero sa atin, the store will not let you leave without paying. One time I accidentally broke a bottle of mayonnaise. Eh paano naman yung salansan nila, nasa gilid-na gilid na nung shelf, hipan mo lang, babagsak na talaga. Sa akin lang natyempo. Siguro umubo lang ako eh bumagsak na. I didn’t een touch it. I don’t buy mayonnaise. Sinundan-sundan pa ako nung manager. Tapos maya-maya tatlo na sila na lapit-ng-lapit, paulit-ulit na babayaran ko daw. I already said yes. I told them to just wait for me at the cashier. Aba, wala talagang tiwala sa mukha ko, iniikut-ikutan ako habang nag-go-grocery pa ako. Baka daw siguro ako maka takbo.
A tray of good quality patis gone wasted, sayang. Your kare kare looks delicious, by the way.
