December 2, 2018 Sunday
My husband was all ready for the first day of Fil-Am Tournament. He was recruited by the Luisita Golf and Country Club to play for their team. As we all know, Hacienda Luisita was bought from the Cojuangcos by Martin Lorenzo of Lapanday and a conglomerate of other businesses including restaurants.
This is their first day uniform. The design looks like the UST Growling Tigers are going on a safari. Grrrr..
He tried to cover the shirt with a jacket he bought in Japan. Mainit daw kaya hinubad rin nya yung jacket.
After my breakfast I waited for an hour to see him tee off at 11 am.
Their names were called and a few souvenir shots were taken by the tournament’s official photographer.
He looked whiter because he smothered his face with sunblock.
Edmund’s golf knowledge and skill were actually self-taught. He bought a betamax or VHS on Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer. He watched and watched and learned from these golf legends’ swings. He acquired his knowledge by observing, watching, practicing at home, in our dining area.
Before he started going to the driving range, he already knew about the right golf basics.
Even before he hit the fairway, his swing and stance were already perfect.
First of Edmund’s 4 games:
He hit the ball perfectly and the ball landed on the green.
I complimented him before I left “Tart and galing mo”.
When he came back to the room after his game, he said he played bad.
How did that happen? His first shot was great, I thought he birdied it.
Par lang daw.
A—–“Bakit anong nangyari, eh ang ganda ng palo mo.”
First shot lang daw, pinabilib lang nya ako.
A—-“So yun na yun, una lang pala”.
E and A (LOL)
Nagkalat daw sya. Dapat pala bumili ako ng tambo para nakapagwalis kami.
A—-“What happened?”
Ninerbyos daw sya.
A—–“Tiga saan sya? Dapat tiga dito sa Baguio Country Club.”
The guy’s from Luisita in Tarlac.
He gave him money and sent him home.
